The CITIUS Career Initiation Programme for Recent Graduates is a postgraduate program aimed at university graduates that combines academic and practical training. The particularity of this program of the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, managed by the Fundación Universidad Empresa, is that the participants themselves choose the training itinerary that best suits their needs. This itinerary can be done in person, online or mixed.
The Academic Training Plan is taught at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and its program is designed in collaboration with the Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona. Depending on their professional orientation, the candidate may combine the academic content of their choice with supervised practices in one of our partner companies.
Characteristics of the internship period
- Economic endowment: from € 800 gross per month.
- Duration: one year (with the rest period determined by the host company).
- Schedule: full-time at the time determined by the host company, with a maximum of 35 hours per week.
- Certificate of the receiving company.
Philosophy and objectives
The CITIUS Career Initiation Programme for Recent Graduates, aimed at recent graduates, was born as a result of a double need:
- On the one hand, most graduates need to complement their academic training based on their specific interests and the specialty they want to pursue: that's why the Citius training program has a customizable itinerary, and
- On the other hand, graduates just out of the career need to gain confidence in the workplace in order to access a satisfactory job: that is what the period in curricular practices of the study seeks.
The best guarantee of this program is in the opinion of the more than 10,000 students who have already enjoyed it: 96% would recommend it as the first step in accessing the professional world. It is not surprising considering that the labor insertion after this program is 80%.
Methodology and contents
As for the academic part, it can be done in person, online or mixed and these will be the areas from which the student can configure his academic itinerary:
- Languages aimed at business communication.
- Tools related to new technologies.
- Personal skills focused on the professional career.
- Legal environment applied to business.
- Business management.
- Economy and finance.
- Production processes.
- Training in specific areas, such as Pharmacology.
Within the chosen itinerary, the student must take a minimum of 18 ECTS credits and there is no maximum limit.
The curricular practices associated with the study may be carried out in any of the collaborating companies and in the departments designated by them.
Academic accreditation
The diploma of the CITIUS Career Initiation Programme for Recent Graduates will be issued by the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid in collaboration with the Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona, also including a certification of the company in which the student practices.

Admission and registration
The requirements to access the Citius postgraduate program are the following:
- Be under 30 years old.
- Possess an official university degree, homologated or homologous, of graduate, diploma, degree, architect, technical architect, engineer, technical engineer, that fits the places offered in each call.
- Having obtained the official, homologated or homologated university degree in the last 4 years.
- Not having already enjoyed a similar program.
- Having no professional experience as a graduate.
