The COPE program for students of the UAM Degree in Psychology
The Educational Cooperation Program of the Faculty of Psychology of the UAM is a Title "Expert in Organization and Human Resources" aimed at students in the last year of the Degree in Psychology at the Autonomous University of Madrid interested in developing their future professional activity in the field of organizations and human resources.
The Program consists of a specific theoretical training phase (approximately 180 hours) complemented with the development of professional practices in companies (6 months of practices). Theoretical training is given by university professors and expert professionals in the field of Human Resources. This Title aims to provide the student with the basic professional skills to face new challenges in organization, management and people management.
Promoted by the Círculo de Empresarios, the Fundación Universidad-Empresa (FUE) and the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM, more than thirty-two years ago more than a hundred companies, public and private, have participated in the Program, where more than a thousand students have developed their professional practices.
COPE main features
- Study aid: An amount of € 480 gross per month during full-time internships.
- Duration: The duration of the Program is one academic year. A first period is theoretical training (from September to November) and a second period is an internship in a company. The student's internship date (6 months of internship) depends on their availability.
- Hours: Full-time, according to company hours. Students admitted to COPE must have TOTAL AVAILABILITY both to take the training seminars and to carry out practical activities in the company. The training seminars will be held between the months of September and November. The internships will begin according to the availability of the students from the month of September.
- Training plan: 30 ECTS of theoretical and practical training.
- Qualification: Own Title "Expert in Organization and Human Resources" by the Autonomous University of Madrid.
COPE philosophy and objectives
The main objective of this program is for Psychology students interested in the field of Organization and Human Resources to be able to reconcile their academic training with training practices in companies without this implying a drop in performance either in the academic or professional fields. .
The success of COPE over more than 32 years is based on two fundamental axes: the involvement and support of all the collaborating companies and the work capacity, potential and talent of the students who participate.

COPE academic accreditation
Successful completion of COPE gives the right to obtain the Own Title "Expert in Organization and Human Resources" from the Autonomous University of Madrid.

COPE Admission and Enrollment
To access the Educational Cooperation Program of the U.A.M Faculty of Psychology, students must meet a series of academic requirements and pass the internal selection process. At the academic level, the following aspects are taken into account:
- Have passed all the compulsory subjects of the first three undergraduate courses after the ordinary call in June or extraordinary session in July.
- It is advisable to have taken optional subjects from the Social and Organizations profile
- Having a good academic record will be valued.
The internal selection process is carried out by the Institute of Knowledge Engineering (IIC) and is carried out using the eValue tool whose objective is to detect the degree to which people manifest their potential in a series of quality competencies most used in the market. These basic competencies are variables that can be the basis of an adequate professional performance. Knowledge of English is also assessed.
