Vodafone is embarking on a global transformation of data & analytics leveraging innovative capabilities of google cloud and are looking for an experienced data transformation led to play a key role in enabling this large-scale delivery.
The data analyst role will contribute as part of the Vodafone Business Data Factory to all aspects of data and platform engineering, data science and data visualization in order to create new data and insight products in response to business demand.
Acting with a ‘new startup’ mindset, the Data Factory is highly focused on fast investigation of new ideas and opportunities, leading to development of insight products. The successful candidate will have some expertise of data and analytics on cloud, ideally Google. Depending on their exact skillset and area of interest they may focus on ingestion of data into the platform, feature engineering, data science, GenAI or data visualization. This is an opportunity to get in at an early stage of a new data function and help influence direction as it grows.
As a Data Analysis trainee, you´ll have the opportunity to learn how to:
- Support to update to data pipelines to handle new data sources, clean data or generate new features
- Help to create of AI/ML to support new use cases
- Design and Delivery of data visualisations
- Learn to update to the data factory platform itself
- Highly independent, takes ownership, does not need to be told what to do and seeks feedback and execute actions.
Ideally you have the following skills:
- Experience of development of data services in a cloud environment
- Creation, use and validation of AI/ML algorithms
- Experience with data visualisation
- Experience analysing large data sets
- Relevant degree
- Fluent in English and Spanish
