Area Description

As a Legal Intern, you will collaborate with the Hospitality Distribution and Media business unit and other units as required, gaining hands-on experience in legal research, contract management, compliance, and privacy-related matters. Your role will involve assisting in the review and drafting of commercial agreements, including SaaS, digital advertising, travel intelligence and distribution contracts, as well as supporting vendor and partner negotiations. You will work closely with the legal team and cross-functional departments such as privacy, regulatory and compliance, sales, partnership and product teams to ensure adherence to company policies, data protection laws and industry regulations. Additionally, you will assist with privacy-related initiatives, and understanding the evolving landscape of digital advertising and data privacy compliance. This internship is an excellent opportunity to develop practical legal skills in a technology-driven and fast-paced environment while gaining exposure to the hospitality, digital media, and privacy law sectors.

Project description

Assist in reviewing and drafting commercial agreements, including services agreements, SaaS agreements, travel intelligence agreements, advertising agreements, and distribution contracts. Conduct legal research and provide overall support to the achievement of business goals and streamlining legal services. Collaborate with internal teams, including other legal team members, sales, account management, product, partnership and privacy, to support legal and compliance processes. Assist in compliance-related and product development projects from a legal standpoint, including data protection matters. Work on updating and maintaining Media, Travel Intelligence and Partnership Vendor legal templates and policies and online terms, ensuring alignment with business needs, legal development, including products and customer needs. Gain exposure to the role of legal counsel in a multinational technology company, learning how to balance legal risks with business objectives. Support the legal team in contract management and organization, ensuring documents are properly stored and maintained.  

Accountabilities

Participate in contract management activities by assisting in reviewing, drafting, and organizing commercial and other agreements. Timely assist in privacy, as the first line of defense, and regulatory compliance. Ensure timely and accurate legal support for internal teams, including sales, product, and partnership teams, on contractual and regulatory matters. Help maintain and update legal templates and documentation to streamline contract management processes. Contribute to risk assessment initiatives by identifying potential legal risks and providing research-based recommendations. Support process improvements by assisting in streamlining legal workflows, enhancing contract management systems, and optimizing documentation processes.

Requirements

  • Fluent in spoken and written English (additional languages are a plus)  
  • Teamwork spirit and willingness to get involved

  • Willingness to learn and question, and question again (useful for Product work)
