AFW Energía is currently recruiting for an Aftermarket Intern for the I&C department in our Madrid office.

Wood is looking for students interested in accessing the professional world through external academic internships and offers the possibility to put into practice and expand the knowledge acquired during their academic career.

Students will get the opportunity to enter in Industrial Power projects.

The role is offered to fit in students of last academic year with limited pending course obligations.

The selected candidate(s) will cooperate assisting and directly performing – under the mentorship of senior colleagues – specific tasks as follows:

• Design and management of the development of equipment used to monitor and control systems in power generation plants.
• Design of electrical design.
• Design of the operating logics of Security and Control.
• Programming of Safety and Automata.
• Design of SCADA visualization systems
• DCS Systems
• Remote connection systems
• Supplier management
• Preparation Proposals and Budgets preparation
• Project Management.
• Collaboration in Retrofit projects and improvements in Power plants.

Skills / Qualifications:

• Last academic year or master’s degree in industrial engineering or similar degree. Desirable electronics and control systems degree.
• Spanish language at native level
• Excellent command of English
• Microsoft Office including strong proficiency in Excel (formulas, dynamic tables, data queries, DAX and graphical analysis)
• Academic situation that allows signing an agreement with a university or training center
• Availability in the morning (daily dedication depending on the academic situation)
• Able to manage own time and ability to prioritize at busy times
• Interested in pursuing a career within engineering
• Good communication skills within a team and externally
