As a Open RAN Development Trainee, you´ll have the opportunity to learn and apply your knowledge by:
- Engage in development activities: the student must be linking with the team, entering the design and development process in order to understand the complexity of the activities. The student will be exposed to the contact with all the team members and he must appreciate the difficulties of the tasks involved in activities such as research and development.
- Help on defining the needs of the development activities: the student must me proactive on helping the simplification of the processes, proposing his point of view and bringing methods and suggestions from the university approach.
- Support preparing necessary documentation: this task is actually the most important in a R&D environment; by mastering this aspect, the student will be able to approach any future role, inside or outside Research.
Ideally you have the following skills:
- Engineering Degree (Computing, Electronics/Electrical) in which the student should have developed a basic understanding of hardware description languages (VHDL, Verilog, etc.) and chip development processes or C/C++ programming. Also, courses on Signal Processing and Instrumentation could be of interest.
- Engineering Degree (Computing, Electronics/Electrical) or currently enrolled in Telecoms, IT or Software Engineer studies.
- Basic understanding of hardware description languages (VHDL, Verilog, etc.)
- Basic understanding of chip development processes or C/C++ programming. Also, courses on Signal Processing and Instrumentation could be of interest.
- Fluency in English (B2 Upper Intermediate)
- General knowledge in Word, Excel, PPT.
