Amadeus is recruiting for an intern for its Hotel IT Product Pricing & Profitability team. This team is part of the larger Hotel IT Product Growth and Go-To-Market team which sits at the intersection of Sales, Finance and Product teams to drive business strategy, profitability, and commercial success. The team supports the growth of 5 leading SaaS technology products focused on serving independent and branded hotels globally. Each of the products has an established market position with significant opportunity to grow.
Amadeus has an immediate opening for an intern in our team. This role will play a pivotal role in working cross-functionally to drive business performance and providing input into many growth initiatives.
Intern will be supporting the pricing team in the following areas:
- Small/Medium deal management, including i) modelling profitability of new opportunities and become familiar with levers that drive profitability ii) analyzing impact of commercial gestures being requested by Sales iii) Managing requests for early termination waivers and other requests
- Assist in strategic pricing reviews and pricing of new products or product add-ons
- Produce reports to understand performance and levers of commercial improvement
Accountabilities
‒ Ensure ongoing pricing adherence and profitability for small and medium sized deals across the Above Property product portfolio.
‒ Review and evaluate discount requests, partnering with sales to grow business prof-itability.
‒ Support pricing for specific product lines, and evaluate and propose changes in re-sponse to competitive/market changes.
‒ Support pricing strategy for new product launches, working closely with product, customer success, commercial Finance (including Business Case reviews), and sales. Contribute to changes to how we price, package and bill customers.
‒ Build models to evaluate ad-hoc business opportunities to help drive growth
Learning
Gain knowledge on pricing definition and key drivers of pricing: cost-plus vs value to customer vs competitive benchmarking
‒ Exposure to Sales, Strategic Finance and other stakeholders will greatly improve in-terns’ commercial acumen in B2B industry
‒ Intern will deepen practical experience on use of financial business cases in industry to drive decision-making
Degrees
Bachelors in Economics (Finance), Business Administration, Engineering or similar
Requirements
‒ Preferred prior internships / projects in Commercial or Finance areas
‒ Excellent Excel skills and prior exposure to financial modelling and/or business cases. Numeric attention to detail is vital.
‒ Ability to partner with cross-functional teams (Product, Operations, Customer Care, etc.) to get alignment around ideas, make decision amidst conflict priorities, and take action.
‒ Good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with all levels of the organization, especially Sales and Product Management.
‒ Professional with a high level of attention to detail, excellent organization and time management skills.
‒ Fluent in English. Good level of French or Spanish a plus.
