Vodafone is embarking on a global transformation of data & analytics leveraging innovative capabilities of google cloud and are looking for an experienced data transformation led to play a key role in enabling this large-scale delivery.

Vodafone offer a choice of public clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP) that are simple to connect, consume and operate. The public cloud resell service from Vodafone offers a large catalogue of on-demand cloud computing platforms and is designed to connect your people, places and things to the network in a quick and efficient way and create a highly reliable and secure hybrid multi-cloud environment for enterprise. In addition Vodafone are building a suite of services to help mid-market companies (10-250 employees) to evaluate, design and configure cloud solutions, as well as Integrate them Into existing environments.

 

You will work as a part of the Cloud & Edge product development team alongside an Agile delivery team. Reporting to the Senior Manager Cloud & Edge Products and Enablers Engineering, you will build a strong and collaborative relationship across the Cloud & Edge team and associated development teams who focus on your products. You will interface with a range of internal and external stakeholders as you develop product requirements for development, maintain technical product content and manage the technology lifecycle.  This includes Cloud, Edge & MPN Product team, wider PPE team,  Technology and delivery teams, legal, regulatory, tax, finance, commercial, pre-sales, provisioning, service management, GTM as well as external stakeholders from customers to vendors.

 

As a Product Owner you will work within the VBPS product development team to ensure that the new products deliver against Vodafone Business strategy and priority roadmap outcomes.

 

  • Product Development;  You will be accountable for developing features and stories that facilitate product development. This will require you to;
    • Collaborate with Product Manager to elicit requirements and define features
    • Work with agile team to decompose capabilities/features into user stories with acceptance stories to seed the product backlog
    • Assist Product Manager with the business case
    • Manage and prioritize the product backlog, participate in scrums and meta-scrums and validate delivered solution designs.
  • Product Delivery; You will be accountable for the delivery of features and stories that facilitate product development. This will require you to;
    • Engage with stakeholders at PI and SI Planning to understand requirements.
    • Understand, assess and critique the architecture proposed by the architecture team and ensure that the scrum team delivery is aligned to the overall solution architecture
    • Collaborate with the agile team to convey goals, answer questions, and accept completed stories
    • Demonstrate completed user stories and increments to business stakeholders
    • Decide when to deploy new functionality to production
    • Own the vision and roadmap of the product, and be a key player in release planning with the team
    • Work with Scrum Master to monitor progress through sprints and ensure any blockers, issues and dependencies are escalated

 

As a Product Owner trainee, you´ll have the opportunity to: 

 

  • Collaborate with other Agile stakeholders to help ensure strategy and execution alignment
  • Be an advocate for our customer stakeholders and the ultimate beneficiaries of our solution
  • Represent the voice of the customer by developing deep expertise and empathy for the customers that use our products

Ideally you have the following skills:

 

  • Mid level experience in Enterprise as a product owner or related role working with similar products.
  • Ideally experience with Vodafone group products and managing product platforms on which different product propositions offered.
  • A strong collaborator and team player with experience in motivating teams, with proven ability to work in a matrix environment
  • Proactive, results oriented, not afraid to challenge the status quo
  • Effective communication, self-management and influencing skills to different levels of seniority
  • Agile certification (SAFE Agilist or PO/PM)
  • Demonstrable product management skills in a similar environment.
  • Relevant higher education in a related field
  • Experience with IT Managed Services desired, preferably with ITIL, eTOM or TOGAF
  • International experience desirable (working internationally and/or working with global solutions)
  • Experience with Office and Collaboration applications (Teams etc) and specialist product development and planning tools such as Jira, & Confluence.
